Thrive Learning Institute - Having a Vision Without a Plan

Have you ever noticed that once you begin your search for a business opportunity that you are often only thinking about finances? You think, well if I can just make this network marketing business work, or if I can actually make money online as an internet marketer, then it will pull me out of my current circumstances. I will not have to answer to a boss, I will not have to live on a fixed income, and I can eventually afford the finer things in life.

Finances may be the motive to try and start your own business, but it takes so much more to be a successful entrepreneur. You have to have a vision of what it is you want to accomplish and a plan of how you will accomplish your goal.

I think many feel as if they have a vision with somewhat of a plan. Often this plan is not written down and changes from day to day based on how a person feels or on a new idea that one may get that they think will work better. Remaining unfocused with a changing plan of action is a trap. It keeps you from reaching success, seeing your potential, and increasing your income!

For example, let's say you are in multi-level marketing and are working on calling MLM leads. You are in the beginning stages of building your business and have purchased 100 leads. You call about 30 with less than stellar response. You decide this must not be working and so turn to a different recruiting method. This is what I call an unfocused plan of action. It will not get you to where you want to go.

If there is one thing that all of the personal development gurus have in common, it is that you have to not just know where you're going, you have to know how your gonna get there. You have to have a map. This means that your goals and steps to reach your goals have to be written down on paper. Writing goals down is crucial to success. Brian Tracy has pointed out that only about 5% of people have written out goals.

If you haven't already developed your goal setting skills, do it now. Look up Brian Tracy. Stop trying to build something without a blueprint! If you want to some one-on-one coaching look up Thrive Learning Institute.
